2 Page Wedding Layout

Thursday, May 28, 2009 1:39 AM | with 0 comments »

The other night I was looking through a Readers Digest and ran across an ad about Texas. As soon as I seen it I thought what a wonderful digital scrapbook layout this would be. I had downloaded some pictures from Stock.xchng and thought they would make an awesome wedding layout. I love the way it turned out and it was so much fun using such wonderful  pictures.

This layout is a great way to use lots of pictures, I used thirteen all together.

Here is the ad that inspired me.

Here is my 2 page digital scrapbook layout!

This is two 12x12 inch pages and would be displayed side by side in a scrapbook.  I think they would also look nice framed side by side.  This is an example of what we could create with your wedding pictures.

Pictures are from Stock.xchng
Photographer: Simona Balint
(used with permission)

Background paper from Delicious Scraps
Frames are from The Scrappin Cop

The words are a couple lines from the lyrics of "A Moment Like This."
All names and dates are fictitious.

More of our Photo Book

This is the dedication page for our photo book of Grandma. The dedication reads:

Grandma,
Thank you...
...for loving us unconditionally
...for teaching us right from wrong
...for guiding us in the right direction
...for encouraging us to do our best
...for instilling in us strong moral values
...for consoling us, when our hearts were broken
Thank you for these gifts, for they are more valuable than gold and silver. The value of these gifts shall never depreciate. It is these precious gifts that have shaped our lives and made us into who we are today. These gifts we will carry with us forever and they will continue to be passed on from generation to generation all because we share one common thread...Grandma.
Love,
Your Grandchildren
March 2009

We have a little less than 2 weeks before this photo book goes to print...I can't wait to see the final results!

More From Our Photo Book

This is the story of how Grandma & Grandpa met in the mid 1930's. Grandpa passed away before I was born, but I love looking at old photos of him and Grandma. On the first page I scanned their original marriage license and blended it into the page background.

As promised here is another layout from the heritage photo book we've been creating for my Grandma. Heritage albums are a lot of work and very time consuming, but worth every minute. There is nothing like capturing family history on paper that will live on forever.

    Photobooks To Preserve Memories

    Monday, January 12, 2009 11:45 AM | with 0 comments »

We've been working on a photobook for my Grandmother. She is 88 years young and has led an interesting life with lots of ups and downs. We are hoping to capture these treasured moments in this book we are creating.  Slowly we are getting the pages done, when we are finished it will be 20+ pages.  This book will easily become a family heirloom, I'm sure.
These pages are all digital and we will have it printed at Shutterfly and bound into a story book. The page you see above is the first page of the book. We will be posting more pages as we go along.

    A Day At The Zoo

    Tuesday, September 2, 2008 11:30 AM | with 1 comments »

It was Labor Day weekend and I decided that I would take my daughter to the Zoo. We went on Sunday and it was miserably hot, it reached 94°F. Alexis was cranky, hot, and tired. The Zoo had a Splash area with water sprinklers set up for kids so Alexis changed into her bathing suit and I let her loose to play. The Splash Park really saved the day.

This is a layout I done for a sketch challenge at Scrapbook Bytes.

    A Day of Mini Golf

    Wednesday, August 27, 2008 12:54 PM | with 1 comments »

This is a digital scrapbook page that I created of our family outing playing miniature golf. This is a layout of my husband Eddie, daughter Alexis, and I (Amanda) playing mini golf. This was Alexis' first time playing the game. She didn't like playing by the rules but she sure did have fun chasing that ball around! Alexis loves to play with my camera and believe it or not the picture of me in the layout was taken by Alexis.

Digital Layout Of Mom For Photo Book

    Saturday, July 26, 2008 12:35 AM | with 0 comments »

I just finished another page of mom's photo book. This is of her when she was a baby. I worry how the pictures will come out when printed, they are so old it is hard to do anything with them.

The papers and frames are from Spring Mist Kit by Lindsay Jane Designs @ Scrapbook-Bytes. The paper fold was made using a template by Helena Jole.
Some of the elements I used are from Freckle Face kit by Rina.

    Photo Book Cover

    Wednesday, July 23, 2008 9:31 PM | with 0 comments »

We are working on a photo book of my (Diana) mother. It will feature her, her children, and grandchildren. This is the cover I designed but I'm not sure what I think. I thought the spine would look nice in the matching polka dot, the back would be in the solid green. I haven't ran this past Amanda yet, she may have a better design in mind.
We think we have decided on "We Share A Common Thread...Grandma" for the title.
For this project we are mostly using Spring Mist Kit by Lindsay Jane Designs @ Scrapbook-Bytes.
