As promised, here are some photos of my paper bag album. They have become a very popular item for us. We will be holding a class soon to teach you how to make these adorable little albums. My finished paper bag album has 10 inside pages and 3 pull out cards for photos and journaling. They make great gifts for Mom and Grandma. Mom and I are preparing to promote The Sassy Stampin Divas at the Daviess County Fair next week. The above photos are of a chipboard album that I completed. this album we will be displaying at the fair. As you can see, I used photos from earlier in the week and based this album around the "Cousins" theme. It turned out really cute, I think. We have been working on some paper bag albums too. I'll post them later on.

Here is a doorhanger that I made using a wooden door hanger from http://www.craftparts.com , and a stamp from Stampin Bella. Designer paper from none other than My Minds Eye, can you tell it's our favorite DP company? Buttons are from a LSS.

This is a project that I've been fantasizing about for quite some time, and I finally dove in and got it started! We are remodeling our family room and when it is done I have one wall where I'm wanting to hang some family photos, under the photos I'll  be hanging my altered letters. I finally found this letter F at my LSS. Now I'm in search of the lower case letters to finish spelling out the word Family, but I can't seem to find them anywhere. So if you know where I can find them, please drop me a line.

This letter F is about 6.5" long and 1/2" thick. I used tacky glue to adhere my Basic Grey designer paper. Once dried I sanded all of my edges smooth. Then I tied various ribbon on my letter, the larger ribbon on the bottom is from Stampin' Up! the other two came from a LSS. I threaded some hemp twine through some old buttons I had lying around and then frayed the edges and attached with glue dots. I made the tag with some green bazzil card stock and inked the edges in Chocolate Chip ink. I stamped the word family on the tag using Studio G lowercase alpha  that I got from my LSS for $1.09. I love how it turned out. Now I can't wait to get the rest of my letters and get my room finished as well!

We just got our On Board Trinkets Ornaments (item #113680) so we have been playing around a little. They make very cute ornies and are so easy. This kit will make more than 40 ornaments. This kit is a combination of Designer series paper and chipboard that has already been die cut. Within the kit is a combination of words, stars, and some other classic ornament shapes. Comes with 6 sheets of die cut chipboard and 6 sheets of matching die cut Designer paper.

Ok, so I made another door hanger but this time I took pictures during the process. I hope you find these helpful for making you own door hangers!

I started with my painted wooden door hanger as pictured above.

Next I cut my cardstock to about the size of my door hanger and used adhesive to attach the cardstock to the door hanger.

Once I have my cardstock attached , I turn the door hanger over and cut away the excess cardstock.

So now I'm ready to stamp a background on my cardstock. Here I am using Riding Hood Red Ink and a stamp from the Enjoy Life stamp set.


Here I have prepared my image for the front of my door hanger. I used a stamp from the Pun Fun stamp set and stamped in Pacific Blue Ink on whisper white cardstock. I stamped the same image on another piece of whisper white card stock but this time in Riding Hood Red Ink. From the image that I stamped in the Riding Hood Red Ink I cut the wings out and the the window and pieced them onto my original image stamped in Pacific Blue. I layered this onto a piece of Pacific Blue cardstock.


Finally, I attached my image to the front of the door hanger and wrapped some hemp twine around the bottom and tied it off in a knot. And there is my completed project. You can add more ribbon, brads or other embellishments. You can also add your child's name, this makes a nice door hanger for a kids room.

Here is a very cute door hanger I made earlier today so I'm going to share with you a very simple tutorial for making this. For this door hanger I used the following supplies:

Craft Knife

Hemp Twine

Craft Paint

Step 1. To prepare my wooden door hanger I painted one side of it with an off white craft paint. (you can use any color you like)

Step 2. Cut a piece of card stock just a little bigger than the size of your door hanger. (for mine I used Tangerine Tango) Using your Tombo Mutipurpose Adhesive liberally apply glue to the front of your door hanger. Attach your cardstock to the front of the door hanger and press firmly to make sure the cardstock is adhering well.

Step 3. I used the small flower stamp in the Eastern Blooms set to create a pattern on my cardstock. I randomly stamped the flower using Tangerine Tango ink on my Tangerine Tango cardstock. This created a cute little background pattern on my cardstock.

Step 4. Place your door hanger face down on a cutting pad or piece of cardboard. Using a craft knife cut all of the excess card stock off of the edges of your door hanger and the inside of the handle.

Step 5. Once you have trimmed all of the excess cardstock away, you can use a sanding block or small piece of sand paper to smooth the edges.

Step 6. Now you are ready to decorate the front. I used the Eastern Blooms stamp set combined with a sentiment from the Define Your Life stamp set but you can use any stamp set you like. For an added touch you can tie ribbon around the handle (I used twine in this example).
